CATCH-UP PROGRAM

GoGlobal Educational Foundation has launched a complex catch-up program consisting of catch-up camps, mentoring and motivational elements, and developing a unique catch-up junior, middle and high school educational program. The purpose of the program is to provide children with the knowledge from the school curriculum that they did not have access to because of the war in addition to offering psychological support, socialization and motivation.

During the summer and autumn of 2023, field catch-up camps were arranged in Zakarpattia, which involved 156 children from Chernihiv and Sumy regions. In the course of the two-week field camps, young men and women studied mathematics, English and Ukrainian languages via the unique program developed by GoGlobal. They practiced English in speaking clubs with foreign volunteers, took part in teambuilding exercises, improved their emotional state and experienced the unique nooks of Ukraine.

12 meetings with 12 inspirational speakers were attended by more than 350 children as part of the motivational program for #PokolinniaPeremohy. During the course of online meetings, teenagers gained the opportunity to communicate with and get inspired by famous Ukrainian personalities, including TV host Masha Yefrosinina, stage actor and former Minister of Culture Yevhen Nyschuk, MP and scout Roman Lozynskyi, «Dovbush» film director Oles Sanin and others. Moreover, within the framework of the program, young people were engaged in art therapy, exchanged experiences and presented their projects on improving their communities and schools.

GoGlobal has supported several projects of children from communities. We have facilitated the transfer of laptops for students from the Summy region, whose school lies within the 15-kilometer distance from the border with Russia. At the same time, for students from the Chernihiv region, whose school was shelled, we have acquired equipment for the youth space, where children gather to communicate. Several 3D printers were handed over to the team from Kyiv region for the STEM club at school.

Also, in 2023, GoGlobal’s education department began developing catch-up educational materials for middle and junior schools. The middle school program was developed for Ukrainian, mathematics, and history curricula, design-based so that the teacher could plan a lesson according to the needs of the students. The junior school program is focused on literacy and numeracy.
