GoGlobal team is pleased to announce that thanks to the support of the Swedish Institute and the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Ukrainian civil servants will be able to improve their English language skills for 12 months starting this summer. 70 employees of both the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Presidential Administration have been selected to study on a world-class virtual English language training platform offered by international company EF Education First (EF). The civil servants will be studying general English as well as specialized areas of terminology and have access to an unlimited number of conversational classes with other students from around the world as well as private lessons with a native speaking, certified English teacher.
EF was founded in Sweden in 1965 with a mission to open the world through education. It is now the world’s largest privately held education company and publishes annually the EF English Proficiency Index which ranks average adult English proficiency in over 70 countries. Ukraine currently ranks 41st of 72 countries in the ranking. Ukraine would like to improve in the ranking and as part of the efforts
English language training for civil servants has been organized within the Global Goverment project initiated by the Global Office NGO. Thanks to this project, nearly 1,400 civil servants have already been studying English during 2016. The main aim of Global Goverment is to improve foreign languages skills within the Ukrainian public service so that state institutions in Ukraine can enhance its international cooperation.”
