Program Officer

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support planning of the project during the programming process.
  • Design of the road map and the timeline of the project.
  • Provide overall support to the management of the project and the administration of the program including team coordination, inputs to budget, and reporting activities.
  • Support for implementation of project activities.
  • Control of execution of project tasks and assignments.
  • Monitoring and assessment of compliance with project milestones and deliverables.
  • Support coordination process between departments and organizations involved in project implementation.
  • Translation of project documentation.
  • Coordination of offline and online events according to the timeline.
  • Critical studying and commenting upon partners` reports and field operations.
  • Assistance with, participation in, and report on meetings, as appropriate.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to service providers in the execution of project activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of results.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification:

  • A university degree in one of the following fields is required: Development Studies, International Development, Political Science, Business Administration, Financial Management, Economics, Auditing, Project/Programme Management, or another relevant field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in one or more of the following areas is required: program development/management, financial planning and management, or another related area.
  • Experience working on international donor projects as a project manager is considered an asset.
  • Experience working on educational projects is considered an asset.
  • Experience working with GR, strategic communications, public relations, reputation management, and advocacy is considered an asset.
  • Relevant knowledge of project management within socially significant projects is considered an asset.
  • Upper-intermediate knowledge of English and fluency in Ukrainian.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively both in English and Ukrainian.
  • High level of organization, professionalism, integrity, trustworthiness, and flexibility.
  • Ability to use discretion when working with confidential documents and information.
