Position Overview:
The Team and Exhibit Manager at the Museum of Mathematics plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the museum’s exhibits and coordinating the efforts of various teams. This position involves overseeing the development, installation, and maintenance of exhibits, as well as managing a team of professionals responsible for delivering an exceptional visitor experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of interactive and educational exhibits that align with MoMath’s mission and educational goals.
- Ensure the exhibits are well-maintained, interactive components are functional, and any necessary repairs or updates are promptly addressed.
- Manage and lead a cross-functional team responsible for exhibit maintenance, visitor engagement, and educational programming.
- Monitor visitor feedback and make data-driven decisions to enhance the overall visitor experience.
- Coordinate logistics for exhibit installations, rotations, and special events.
- Manage budgets related to exhibits and teams, ensuring financial responsibility and efficient resource allocation.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate exhibit activities into broader museum initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, mathematics, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in exhibit development and management, preferably in a museum or educational setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Creative thinking and a passion for making mathematics accessible and enjoyable.
