For the first time in Ukraine, the GoGlobal civic initiative introduces the global trend of systematic involvement of the diplomatic corps, top management of leading companies, and their teams in volunteering in an educational and cultural project.
On Monday, June 4, near the city of Kyiv, the GoCamp programme was officially launched. The programme will take place for the third time in schools throughout Ukraine. Hundreds of volunteers from 73 countries will again teach Ukrainian students English, German and French, as well as open their cultures and share the personal experience. The organizer of the GoCamp programme is GoGlobal civic initiative.
After three years, GoCamp has become the largest volunteer-educational programme in Eastern Europe, with more than a hundred foreigners involved. Among the GoCamp volunteers are students, diaspora representatives, young professionals, retired people and even whole families!
This summer, the foreign Ambassadors will join them for the second time, and for the first time – the CEO of leading Ukrainian and international companies, as well as representatives of business associations. So, the GoCamp school will be visited by the Ambassadors of the United States, Great Britain, France, Canada, Australia, Poland, Norway, Belgium and the European Union this summer.
Petro Chernyshov, the president of Kyivstar, will become the first CEO of a Ukrainian company that will be volunteering at GoCamp. Andriy Hunder, the chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, will also attend school to share the secrets of his work and professional path with the students.
Some companies will volunteer with whole teams. Thus, the employees of Snap Inc. will visit schools in Kyiv and Odesa, where with the help of special programme they will teach and in the meantime learn together with children how to be creative and dream big.
The Danone team will not only be represented by CEO Natalie Alker but will also spend their volunteer month (the annual tradition of all Danone offices around the world) at GoCamp for the second time.
The GoGlobal civic initiative calls on representatives of Embassies of foreign states and businesses operating in Ukraine to join the GoGlobal GoCamp nationwide movement and become volunteers at schools. Your professional experience, success stories and peculiarities of the culture of your native country are a great example to follow and can inspire the schoolchildren who will build the country in the future.
